FTTSA trains Kwam Homestays on sustainable tourism
Homestay owners from the Kwam eMakana township homestay experience convened at the Duna Library Hall in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, for FTTSA’s Sustainable Tourism Workshops. Fifty learners from Kwam eMakana were invited to participate in two workshops that were held in May 2009.
A total of 38 learners will receive certificates of completion. The workshops were organised through the “Strengthening Community Tourism for Sustainable Local Economic Development” project, facilitated by FTTSA and partially funded by the National Development Agency (NDA).
Kwam eMakana is one of six project beneficiaries who will receive support to help improve their community-based enterprise through capacity building and marketing assistance.
