Mashovhela Lodge supports ORTSA

Mashovhela Lodge situated in the Soutpansberg Mountains of Limpopo in South Africa is now donating a percentage of their guest’s accommodation bill to ORT South Africa. Ingrid Hahn, Operations and Marketing Director for the lodge, says “In these times everybody is battling financially, even more so organisations that rely on donations from others. It would be sad to see people that are doing so much for the community not being able to continue their valuable work owing to the lack of funding”.

“At Mashovhela we have always worked hand in hand with the people of our neighbouring Venda village, especially when it comes to education and training. For this reason we decided to support ORT whose motto is ‘Educating for Life’. They are doing fantastic work  living up to this.” Hahn adds.

ORT SA is part of World ORT and believes that education is a lifelong process, a fundamental right as well as a vital tool in building our country and people. The organization provides and facilitates skills training for employment, small business development, educator empowerment and general life skills and strengthens institutional capacity at the local level. ORT SA facilitates training in Gauteng, Western Cape, KZN and Limpopo as well as in Namibia.

Michael Sieff, National Director of ORT SA, is overjoyed with the news. “Most of the time we have to go out and ask for money, it is such a pleasure having people approach us. This is probably not surprising from a company that has already been recognised for its Responsible Tourism practices globally. We wish them success for the years ahead and look forward to a fruitful partnership”

ORT SA has been given the opportunity to promote the exclusive Mashovhela Lodge to business men and women who will be attending a breakfast in June this year where Tony Leon will be the keynote speaker. Attendees will be entered in a draw to win a 2 night for 2 people stay at Mashovhela Lodge.
