Leading Hotels of the World lists Kampala Serena Hotel

Kampala – Kampala Serena Hotel is now a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, a prestigious luxury hospitality organization that represents the world’s finest hotels, resorts and spas. In order to be considered for inclusion, the Hotel had to undergo a rigorous inspection process encompassing 1,500 quality standards covering areas such as infrastructure, services offered, guest attention and staff excellence.

This accomplishment makes Kampala Serena Hotel the first and only member of the organization in Uganda and alongside Nairobi Serena Hotel in Kenya; the two Serena properties are currently the only ‘Leading Hotels of the World’ in the entire East and Central African region.

With reference to recent events and emergencies that have occurred in Kenya, safety standards and disaster preparedness in the country are an issue of increased concern.  We at Serena Hotels place utmost importance on providing a safe and conducive environment for both our guests and staff at all our hotels, lodges and resorts and we have, in place, comprehensive measures that would mitigate the effects of any eventual crisis.

Our comprehensive crisis management plan covers policies, procedures and available resources that would be deployed in the event of any incident that bears on the safety of personnel and guests. The plan is regularly reviewed and updated by our crisis management teams, whose primary objective is to maintain a coordinated and effective approach to any emergency situation, while allowing business at the hotel to continue with minimal interruption.
