SA Tourism unveils Nothando Mathe as new Country Manager for SADC
Johannesburg – Nothando Mathe has been appointed Country Manager: Southern Africa at South African Tourism. Mathe who started at SA Tourism as Country Manager: SADC is now adding the domestic market to her portfolio.
As Country Manager: Southern Africa, Mathe will head up a unit whose destination marketing efforts are focused on the SADC (Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique and Swaziland) nations and the all-important domestic market.
She fills an important position at South African Tourism as these markets are significant contributors to the total volume and value that the tourism industry contributes to the national economy. Research on these markets has shown impressive growth especially in the air markets.
Before joining South African Tourism, Mathe was Group Marketing and Communications Manager for Accelon Technologies where she was responsible for developing the marketing and communications strategy for the company’s East and West Africa markets.
