Your Africa concludes partnership agreement with Expedia

Johannesburg – Southern African destination management company Your Africa, a division of Tourvest Inbound Operations, has signed an agreement with Expedia, one of the largest online reservation portals in the world.

In terms of the agreement, Expedia will use Your Africa for any hotel product in Southern Africa that they are not directly connected to.  The agreement will also be used to further Expedia’s current hotel package offerings in Southern Africa by using Your Africa’s tours, transfers and other products.

Monika Schultz, general manager sales, says Your Africa was approached given its excellent standing in the industry, its competitive rates by virtue of the combined purchasing power of the inbound group as well as its access to other products and services within Tourvest.

Expedia, part of the American-based Expedia Inc, operates localised sites for 15 countries.  It also owns a number of well-known travel sites including hotels.com and tripadvisor.com.  Expedia allows users to book airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages and many other travel-related products and services.  The site uses multiple global distribution systems like Amadeus, Sabre, Worldspan and Pegasus along with its own hotel reservation system for contracted bulk rate reservations.
