Great Plains appoints new Sales & Marketing Manager
Johannesburg – Great Plains is an African and Indian Ocean conservation organisation that creates conservation initiatives, making them sustainable through a blend of a bouquet of small luxurious camps and lodges, carbon offsets as well as small bush home and villa projects.
The company, launched by the intrepid eco-minded Colin Bell, the wildlife filmmaker Dereck Joubert, Paul Harris (from Ellerman House) and Mark Read (Chairman of WWF in South Africa), welcomes Hilton Walker, a well known travel personality with over 15 year’s tourism experience in Southern Africa, to the fold as their Sales and Marketing Manager as from the 1st of September 2008. His portfolio will also include Public Relations and International Sales.
“It is an absolutely mind blowing opportunity to join this phenomenal group which encompasses everything that I value highly as far as product, location, people and conservation practices” says Hilton from his office based in Hillcrest, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
The company has projects up and running in Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania and Seychelles and will be opening up in India and Rwanda in the near future.
