Tourvest unveils wellness programme for its staff
Johannesburg – Tourvest Inbound Operations (TIO), the inbound destination management division of the Tourvest group of companies, has introduced an employee wellness programme as part of its human resources strategy of attracting, retaining and developing the best talent in the travel and tourism industry. The wellness programme will not only provide TIO employees with a round-the-clock counselling service to address any work-related or personal issues but will also include a host of value-added benefits including preferential banking and vehicle finance rates, restaurant and jewellery store discounts as well as bargain motor vehicle deals through Imperial and Toyota.
Peta Panos, TIO chief executive officer, says that the industry is facing a serious shortage of qualified candidates and that the wellness programme was just one way TIO was affirming its position in the market as an employer of choice. “The wellness programme is our way of providing employees with a means to discuss their problems confidentially with qualified and experienced councillors. We also seek to provide our people with more benefits as a way of saying thank you for dedication and loyalty,” she says.
TIO employees were treated to a wellness day on 1 November at TIO’s offices, showcasing the many benefits available to them through the new programme.
