Kruger Park shortens day-trippers
Skukuza – Visitors to the Kruger National Park will face a quota system again on peak festive holidays. Spokesperson Raymond Travers advised: “Plan well and book to enter the gates as early as possible.” The national park will be keeping strictly to admission quotas in the coming festive season. The rule applies only to day visitors, not to overnight ones. The entry of visitors will be restricted on December 16, 17, 25, 26 and on January 1.
Avoid crowding
The main entrance, Kruger Gate near Hazy View, will allow in only 750 people on those days.
At large gates like Malalane and Phalaborwa, up to 500 visitors will be allowed in, while smaller gates like Numbi, Crocodile Bridge and Orpen will let in 350 visitors each.
“The quotas are aimed at preventing the park from becoming too full,” said Travers. Bookings can be done at 012 428 9111.
