Hospitality Investment Conference to showcase investment trends
cape Town – The first of its kind Hospitality Investment Conference for Africa (HICA) scheduled to take place between 30 September to 2 October in Cape will amongst others expose delegates to investment trends and leading criteria in the African tourism and hospitality industries.
This according to Jacqueline Obando, Strategic Project Manager at the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) – organisers of the Hospitality Investment Conference, who says the conference, will be used as a platform to share world trends, learn from others experiences in an effort to align the continent to international best practice
She says those with the curiosity to learn about the hospitality and tourism investment, finance trends and lending criteria in Africa, should not hesitate to register for the Hospitality Investment Conference before Sunday, 15 July 2007 to qualify for early bird special rate.
Obando says amongst others Richard Stockton of Morgan Stanley a Global Financial Management company dedicated to serving investors worldwide, will talk about the leading criteria of Africa and whether it is out of line from a global point of view. He will also touch on the inner workings of African Joint ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions.
She says delegates at the conference will also have an opportunity to get insight information on real estate investment funds, private equity and hotel investments funds from the Asset Manager responsible for management of Absa Commercial Property Finance, Gareth Elston.
Elston who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Investment Analysts Society will give advice on what impediments may be faced by African investor and the criteria needed to fulfil in order to reap the rewards, says Obando.
According to Obando, the conference will be of importance to many aspiring to enter the tourism and hospitality industry. “It will highlight the importance of Africa as a growing and potential investing part of the world and also improve on the continents tourism portfolio.”
She says tourism growth in Africa is not only a business proposition anymore, but is also seen by governments as a vital tool to stimulate general development and economic growth on the continent. “This conference will without doubt further stimulate investment in the continents Hotel, Hospitality and Leisure Industry.”
The conference will be hosted in association with Golding Hotel Investment Consultants (GHIC) part of the Pam Golding Property Group.
