AA Travel Guides to showcases at Beeld Holiday Show
Midrand – AA Travel Guides, South Africa’s largest online accommodation and travel database will be out in full force at the Beeld Holiday Show to ensure that visitors’ next holiday experience is an enjoyable and hassle-free one.
The show takes place from 9 to 11 February at Gallagher Estate where visitors will be able to view hundreds of holiday destinations under one roof. Holidays can sometimes turn disastrous, says Beeld Marketing and Communications Manager Gavin Rheeder.
“How many people end up regretting their last minute decision to go to the first resort available? You arrive and find that the venue has been double booked, the roof is leaky, there’s no parking – and soon your dream vacation turns into a holiday in hell.”
This is exactly what AA Travel Guides seeks to eliminate, says AA Travel Guides Managing Director Vanessa Sand.
“Establishments in South Africa must be AA Quality Assured to be on our website, www.aatravel.co.za, and can have up to five photos on their detailed page. This ensures that anyone using our site has access to and can book at a huge range of accommodation establishments in Southern Africa. This includes accommodation in hotels, B & B’s, guesthouses, self-catering chalets and apartments, lodges, game and nature reserves.
“Annually some 35 000 consumers comment on the AA Quality Assured or star graded establishments across the country. This assists greatly in determining best tourist accommodation establishments in our annual awards programme,” says Sand.
The AA Travel Guides and American Express Accommodation Awards now runs for the fourteenth year.
AA Travel Guides will showcase its establishments at the show and its two comprehensive annual publications, AA Self-Catering Getaways in Southern Africa and the AA guide on Hotels, Lodges, Guest Houses and Bed & Breakfasts in Southern Africa, will be on sale at a special show price of R100 for both books, or R70 for the hotels and lodges guide and R50 for the self -catering guide.
