Twelve Apostles committed to Quality Africa
Cape Town – For the second year running The Twelve Apostles in Cape Town has won the Leading Small Hotels of the World 2006 Commitment to Quality Award for Africa and the Middle East. Announced last week, this represents yet another prestigious accolade gained by the Red Carnation international collection of luxury boutique hotels over the past twelve months.
The Leading Hotels of the World Commitment to Quality Awards are now widely acknowledged as the benchmark for global luxury standards in the hospitality industry. Objectively measuring hotels from the traveller’s perspective, they are based on the results of stringent inspections, with more than 1,500 criteria providing the most comprehensive reports in the luxury industry.
On winning the award, Jonathan Raggett, Managing Director of the Red Carnation Hotels collection, observed that “These awards mean so much to us, because they recognise all the hard work and effort, by every member of staff, that goes into making our hotels so special for our guests. My warmest congratulations go to Clive Bennett, our Managing Director in South Africa and the entire Twelve Apostles team.”
A member of The Leading Small Hotels of the World, The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is owned and managed by Red Carnation Hotels, an association of personally and individually run hotels under the Red Carnation flag, which stands for the best of everything. The five-star Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is located fifteen minutes from the city of Cape Town and five minutes from Camps Bay.
Situated at the foot of the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range in a nature reserve with a marine World Sanctuary directly in front of the hotel, this discretely located boutique property, with its world renowned Sanctuary Spa, has seventy bedrooms and suites. The hotel’s distinct and chic Azure restaurant, with its spectacular sea views, pampers each guest with unobtrusive and impeccable levels of service and attention to detail. This property has a private cinema and state-of-the-art conference facilities for up to ninety persons.
