White Desert is the most isolated hotel in the world

News

The White Desert hotel has recently been offered a five-star revamp to mark its 10th anniversary, offering tourists worldwide a hint about the magnificent and luxurious hotel on the icy realm of Antarctica and inviting all of them to visit this incredible and isolated place.

The White Desert Hotel in Antarctica is all about incredible views, serenity, adrenaline and fauna has evolved and survived in the harshest climates in the world. It is the most remote holiday destination, but still one where the luxury prevails.

Hotel White Desert in Antarctica is one of the favorite destination for the global elite, but also one of the most expensive in the world. Among of its guests one can find Prince Harry and members of the Saudi royal family. An all-inclusive stay for 11 days costs 72,500 dollars with a departure point in Cape Town, South Africa.

Guests who come to camp at White Desert are accommodated in six heated fiberglass domes called "sleeping capsule". Bedrooms are equipped with beds with slats of bamboo, Saarinen chairs, carpets and furs and Lost Explorer branded products bearing the signature of the Rothschild family.

“The hotel involves some of the most complex and remote logistics in the world,” co-founder Robyn Woodhead told Bloomberg. “Everything for the hotel refurbishment had to come in on an Il-76 cargo plane, costing €15 per kilogram. “Many of the simple elements, such as getting water for the construction work, involved drilling through a two-meter-thick ice lake. Everything freezes far quicker than normal conditions here. The metal freezes to your hands, so our team had to be extremely focused and careful when working. It’s not a brief most interior designers are used to.”
