W Hotels to Open New Property in Amsterdam

W Hotels Worldwide will make its much expected debut in the Dutch capital with W Amsterdam

The inauguration of W Amsterdam is scheduled for September and it is set to revive Amsterdam with its exciting style signature and Whatever/Whenever service philosophy of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

Situated between the famous Dam Square and the city's renowned canal district, the contemporary design-led lifestyle hotel is in the heart of Amsterdam's vibrant cultural scene – right behind the Royal Palace.

The structural design of the 238-room building was created by Office WINHOV, while BK Architects designed and created the interiors of W Amsterdam.

The W Amsterdam will be a mix between its two neighboring buildings as the hotel incorporates contemporary and luxurious details while bringing back the historical structures to their original state.

With its interesting lines and mesmerizing views, the Exchange building is a visionary structure that still holds is previous role of connecting Amsterdam to the rest of the world.

The Bank building will contain 66 sophisticated guest rooms, the AWAY Spa and X Bank, a breathtaking incubator design that combines local design with fashion and music talents.

The hotel contains 238 guest rooms – including 21 suites, two WOW suites and two elegant Extreme WOW suites – W Hotels' name for the Presidential suite; the perfect way to enjoy stylish relaxation.

Guests will now have the option of entering the rooms with SPG Keyless – the first keyless entry system in the accommodation industry – a technology that uses the smartphone or Apple Watch as a room key.
