Most of the tourists visiting the country in Southeast Asia prefer the coastal destinations
The tourism industry in Vietnam has considerably increased over the last years. Large tourist crowds especially from Europe, Russia, China and the U.S. prefer Vietnam as an attractive exotic holiday destination, due to its reputable beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas and rich war history.
According to a report release by Savills, over 70% of tourists spending their leisure time in Vietnam prefer coastal destinations.
During the last five years, hot-spots like Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and Phu Quoc Island have registered a 23% tourism growth rate and accounted for 30% of the international tourist arrivals in the country.
The hospitality industry has also developed on the coastal sides of Vietnam.
International hoteliers showing continue interest in the destination have invested considerable amounts of money in projects designed to boost Vietnam's potential to attract more visitors, making it more appealing to foreign guests at the same time.
Khanh Hoa and Phu Quoc Island are popular for attracting most of investors aiming to expand their businesses.
New projects of big hospitality industry names such as InterContinental, JWMarriott, Accor and Starwood are to be built in Khanh Hoa and Phu Quoc Island.
Accomodation resorts such as Crowne Plaza Hotel, Novotel Resort, Sonasea Villas and Resort, and Sunset Sanato Premium Complex are set to offer international standard rooms and services, as well as luxury properties for sale.
