Vienna Airport's VIENNA Lounge Crowned “Global Lounge of the Year”

Vienna Airport's VIENNA Lounge has been awarded the "Global Lounge of the Year" at the Priority Pass Excellence Awards 2024, highlighting its exceptional services and ambiance.

 

The VIENNA Lounge at Vienna Airport has been recognized as the “Global Lounge of the Year” by Priority Pass at its prestigious Excellence Awards 2024. This award places the VIENNA Lounge at the pinnacle of global airport lounges, selected from more than 1,500 lounges across 145 countries. The recognition comes as a testament to the lounge’s unique blend of Viennese elegance, Austrian art, and cuisine, complemented by panoramic views of the airport apron and an all-year terrace.

Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport, expressed his delight at the accolade, attributing the success to the lounge’s high standards of comfort and service, which have resonated well with over 370,000 Priority Pass users. “This award is a recognition of our commitment to providing top-notch services and a special travel experience, thanks to our partners and dedicated staff,” said Jäger during the award ceremony held at the lounge, attended by over 70 guests from various sectors including business, aviation, tourism, and culture.

The VIENNA Lounge, known for its luxurious offerings, spans approximately 2,400 square meters and includes amenities such as relaxation rooms, a large meeting room with views of the airport apron, and a landscaped terrace. The culinary experience, managed by Austria's largest privately-run catering company, the DoN group, features local and international cuisine, showcasing freshly prepared dishes, fine wines, and a signature Vienna coffee house with Austrian pastries.

Highlighting the lounge’s cultural integration, high-quality art prints from Vienna’s Leopold Museum adorn its interiors, featuring works by iconic artists like Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele, enhancing the aesthetic appeal and offering a glimpse into Viennese culture.
