Lerina McCall spokesperson and Co-owner of African Insignia hotels had the pleasure of meeting with the new owners Stuart and Shelley Longmore and General Manager Erno De Clercq on site yesterday and concluding the Sales and Marketing deal including The Nest and the Self Catering Cottage called Berg Treat to the African Insignia Hotels Portfolio.
Jessica Nhleko the other co-owner who was busy doing Indaba was delighted and had great pleasure in spreading the news at Indaba.
This expands the footprint into the Central Berg area which will be welcomed by our clients in Gauteng and KZN in the various market segments from Corporate, Government, Travel, STO and Leisure and various other segments who have been asking us to sign up a property in this area.
There is a high demand for self-catering and we have agreed to take on Berg Retreat which is also owned by Stuart and Shelley.

ABOUT THE OWNERS AND THE GENERAL MANAGER:
In 1996 Stuart and Shelley Longmore together with their family purchased Monks Cowl Country Club in the Central Drakensburg. This is a unique and beautiful part of the country with a special local community.
17 years later they sold Monks to The Gooderson Group of Hotels and tried retirement.
Missing the buzz and the people they began managing The Nest Hotel in December 2014 and loved the Hotel so much they have now purchased it!
Erno De Clercq – After completing a Higher National Diploma in hospitality management and an International Diploma in Hospitality managements from the International Hotel School, has worked with some of South Africa’s leading national hospitality groups, Three Cities Hotels and Resorts, Legacy, Tsogo Sun and International Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. In the last 10 years of working in the Hospitality industry he has gained extensive knowledge and is pleased to be assisting and passing this on to Stuart and Shelley Longmore as they take on The Nest.

Bergview Estates is situated within a nature conservancy and borders the world-famous Ukhahlamba World Heritage site.
This delightful holiday cottage is fully equipped for self-catering.
The kitchen has a gas stove/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, crockery, cutlery etc.
There are three bedrooms, the main bedroom has a double bed, bathroom en suite. (Shower, basin & loo) The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and the third has twin beds. There is a second full bathroom.
The lounge has DSTV. There are built in braai facilities and a carport.
