TAP Portugal: two new routes to the United States

Due to the acquisition of the A330 aircraft, TAP Portugal Company announced that it will increase its weekly routes to the United States with two more flights as of June 11
The destination of the flights departing from Lisbon will arrive to both John F. Kennedy Airport, New York and the Logan International Airport in Boston.
That flight will also be operated by the Airbus A330-200, with the following schedule: Lisbon to New York departing at 5:00 PM and arriving at 8:00 PM and New York to Lisbon departing at 11:30 PM and arriving at 11:30AM (+1 day). TAP Portugal already flies from Lisbon to both Miami and from Newark. It also offers two weekly flights between Newark and Oporto, Portugal.
“It’s really exciting to expand TAP’s international service now to four U.S. gateway cities, thus offering North American travelers easy and convenient flights to Lisbon, Europe’s first gateway, as well as connectivity to further destinations beyond”, TAP CEO Fernando Pinto says in a statement.
Including the new two flights, TAP now offers 30 weekly flights between Portugal and the United States. District sales manager, Edwin Latevi Lawson, declared that Tap also offered a twice-weekly direct flight between Porto and Newark, explaining the airline offered daily connections from Accra via Lisbon to a number of destinations around the world.
TAP also announced plans for a passenger-sharing tie-up with JetBlue. Such partnerships allow airlines to sell connecting seats on each other’s flights.
