Stiniva Beach was declared the most beautiful in Europe
Best European Destinations Travel Organization announced its ranking of the best European beaches for this year, one of the most prestigious trophies in the tourism industry
Believe it or not, but the destination which ranked first was not as everybody expected a Greek Island. The winner of the first position in the European Best Destination top is Stiniva Beach, in the Vis Island, Croatia, a destination increasingly visited by European tourists and also people worldwide.
Stiniva Bay Beach, on the Island of Vis in the Adriatic Sea was this year’s choice for the best summer destination due to the votes coming from tourists and specialists in tourism. The top of the European beaches was announced by the Best European Destinations Company based in Brussels on their site.
The company’s representatives declared in the press release that Stiniva acquired the first place in the world due to its beaches that are mainly approachable by road, suitable for family excursions and also that due to the amount of natural shade it is ideal for the younger guests as well. More, Stiniva beach is protected upon the Nature Protection Law, as geo-morphological monument of nature.
Tourists can reach the island of Vis, then the beach of Stiniva after a two-hour travel by ferry from the Split harbor. The beach in the south of the island is surrounded by cliffs, and in the area there are several caves that can be visited. Stiniva is a quite isolated and wild place, but due to its clear water and the fine sand, it gain the first place in the rankings.
