Small Luxury Hotels of the World announces new CEO

Belgian Filip Boyen was announced to be the new chief executive based at the company’s headquarters in London

As SLH is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the company will also change its CEO.

Filip Boyen, the managing director of Hill, Goodridge & Associates will as well manage the SHL brand.

The Belgian has a long history in the hospitality and hotel sector management, accounted for 30 years of experience. Boyen began his long way career as Commis & Chef de Partie in Belgium, progressing to Orient-Express Hotels and Belmond management positions.

For over the last six years, he was chief operating officer at Belmond. With proven skills in operational and core revenue management, Boyen has implemented guest satisfaction measurement and monitoring programs with excellent results.

SLH chair-board member Anchalika Kijkanakorn commented about the new CEO:

“Filip’s depth of experience, not only of managing a large number of hotels over four continents but also of every aspect of the luxury hotel industry, means that he is well placed to guide SLH through the opportunities and challenges in this ever more competitive landscape.
