Ryanair Opens New Base in Berlin  

 

Ryanair will inaugurate a new base in Berlin this October. For the company's Berlin Winter 2015 schedule, Ryanair announced 5 based aircraft and 16 new routes at a total investment of $500m dollars. This will increase the carrier's Berlin traffic to 2.6 customers per annum and sustain 2,600 "on-site" jobs.

Ryanair marked its 30th birthday with the launch of its new Berlin base, as well as by placing 100,000 seats for sale for its European network, at prices as low as €19.99 for travel in March and April.

"Ryanair is thrilled to reveal a new base in Berlin beginning October. It will be our 73rd in total, with an investment of $500m, 5 based aircraft with 16 new routes and 22 routes in total as part of our Berlin winter 2015 schedule. We expect this base will offer us 2.6m customers per year and support 2,600 local jobs," said Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs.

Germany is a growing market for Ryanair as we open our 6th German base at Berlin. We will continue to connect important German cities to Europe's major centres of business. We are planning to launch new Berlin routes to Madrid, Barcelona, Glasgow, Brussels, Rome and Athens, while also increasing the number of flights to and from Dublin, London and Milan.
