Destinations

By Laura Parvan |

More than 200.000 UK & Ireland tourists visited the country in 2015, Jamaica Tourist Board announced

The numbers registered a 12.2 per cent increase when compared to the same period of 2014, when 179,433 foreign visitors passed through the country's borders. The 2015 record figures are a first. Nevertheless, the data does not include cruise visitors, so the real number of foreign visitors is actually higher.

Jamaica slowly became one of the preferred Caribbean destinations for UK and Ireland holidaymakers. Moreover, the newly launched direct flight route from Dublin to Montego Bay is expected to raise visitor numbers even more for 2016.

The irresistible island is thriving in the Caribbean. Latest financial changes, fuel cost, the growing economies of UK and Ireland, strong cruise liners' presence in the market, eco-tourism services so popular in the area make Jamaica an interesting an affordable destination for British visitors.

Jamaica strikes with its people, luxury resort hotels, amazing landscape, traditional cuisine, unique culture, sports and adventure activities. With stunning beaches and vibrant music experiences, the ‘Home of All Right’ promises a holiday to remember.
