Quito will be hosting tournaments in Ecuador

Quito will be Ecuador’s host for two major sport events in the following period.

Having set their mind on becoming a standard for hosting events, Quito will be the location for the PGA Latin American Tour which will take place this month and for the ATP 250 TournameQuitont set for January 2015.

PGA Latin America is considered to be the most important golf tournament in the world. The event will be taking place during the 22-28th of September time interval.

150 athletes will be traveling to Quito for this event which has been branded as “All you need is Ecuador Travel Open”.

The hosts expect more than 1500 daily traffic around the arenas. People with high spending power, as those associated with golf usually are.

It has been shown on some studies that the particular golf consumer will be spending 74% more than an average tourist.

But perhaps the real surprise and accomplishment at the same time for Quito, is the hosting of the Association Tennis Professionals World Tour 250 event in 2015. For the first time in 21 years, this tournament will be held in a location outside of Vina del Mar, Chile.

The event will be promoted as “Ecuador Open Quito” and will be held from 31st of January to February 8th, next year.

The ATP 250 Tournament will be transmitted in more than 190 countries world wide.

This will also mark Ecuador’s most important sports event ever hosted on its land, in Quito.
