NYC & Company Launches New Campaign at JFK Airport

Tourist Bureau
NYC & Company has just launched an impressive visual campaign at JFK International Airport. The campaign of the tourism organization for New York City puts the spotlight on the City's five boroughs, using local iconography for each one of them.

"The JFK Welcome Campaign displays each of the five boroughs in front of over 15 million visitors who walk through selected terminals every year," said Fred Dixon, the president of NYC & Company.
"It's a wonderful addition to our international promotion of borough neighborhoods and attractions."

NYC & Company

This is the absolute first welcome campaign that highlights each of the five boroughs individually at JFK International Airport, and only the second welcome campaign of any kind to be installed at JFK.

'Just Ask the Locals' was the first campaign from NYC & Company and it featured celebrity NYC residents such as Padma Lakshmi and Sean Combs.

The new campaign, which will run for a year, includes 37 panels, the largest of which is 20 feet by 38 feet. Laid side to side, the panels would run the entire length of a football field. Fifteen of the panels are borough-specific and this translates to three dedicated panels for each borough.

This campaign is NYC & Company's most recent promotion of travel to the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. The panels were installed in terminals 1, 4 and 8 at JFK airport.

Other campaigns include 'Neighborhood x Neighborhood', which headlines a different local neighborhood every month and 'See 'Your City, which asks NYC residents to explore other boroughs besides their own so the tourists are inspired to do the same.
