Norwegian to Launch Winter Sun Routes Out of the UK

Norwegian has revealed new additions to its winter schedule by introducing three new routes set to launch from Birmingham and Edinburgh airports to the Canary Islands.

In total, Norwegian will add close to 100,000 seats between the destinations.

The three added flights are scheduled to operate year round with a new, 186-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft that includes free Wi-Fi for all passengers.

Edinburgh to Tenerife starts on October 29th and it's a twice-weekly service, on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Birmingham to Tenerife route will be launched on November 2nd, operating on Mondays and Fridays. Birmingham to Las Palmas, which is in Gran Canaria, is scheduled for weekly Friday departures, beginning November 6th.

The announcement comes after Norwegian announcement last month that introduced the UK's first low-cost flight to Puerto Rico's capital city, San Juan.

Norwegian also offers low-cost flights between London Gatwick and several US destinations, including Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and New York.
