Norwegian Cruise Line Launches New Culinary Delights on Norwegian Aqua

Cruise Lines & Cruise Ships

Norwegian Cruise Line unveils exciting new dining experiences on the Norwegian Aqua, featuring the first-ever Thai restaurant at sea, a dedicated plant-based eatery, and a contemporary wine bar.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has introduced a range of new culinary and beverage options set to debut on the Norwegian Aqua, the latest addition to its Prima Plus Class fleet, launching in April 2025. In line with NCL's commitment to exceptional vacation experiences, the ship will feature innovative dining concepts alongside enhanced guest favorites.

The new offerings include Sukhothai, NCL's first-ever Thai specialty restaurant. Located on deck 17, Sukhothai will offer guests an authentic menu filled with traditional Thai flavors and modern twists, set within a beautifully designed space that combines traditional and contemporary Thai elements.

Additionally, the Swirl Wine Bar will make its debut, providing an upscale, intimate setting on deck six for guests to enjoy a wide selection of wines. The design, inspired by the stunning Antelope Canyon, features warm hues and serene blue touches, creating a relaxing atmosphere for wine enthusiasts.

Another exciting addition is the Planterie, the first dedicated plant-based eatery on an NCL ship, located within the Indulge Food Hall on deck eight. The Planterie will offer a menu of healthful, plant-based bowls and other dishes, catering to the growing demand for vegan and vegetarian options at sea.

These new establishments are part of a broader effort to innovate Norwegian Aqua’s culinary scene, which will also see the return of popular venues like the Indulge Food Hall, featuring ten food stations inspired by global food marketplaces. The redesign, undertaken by the Rockwell Group, incorporates deep wood accents and colorful tones to enhance the dining ambiance.

David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, emphasized the importance of dining in enriching the cruise experience. "Discovering new flavors and dining experiences is a memorable part of any vacation," said Herrera. "With these new concepts aboard Norwegian Aqua, we're excited to expand our award-winning food and beverage program and continue delivering a variety of offerings that cater to our guests' diverse tastes."

The introduction of these unique dining options underscores Norwegian Cruise Line’s commitment to innovation in cruise dining, enhancing the onboard experience, and providing guests with more diverse and culturally rich dining options.
