Nature hiking trails at Chinese resorts by Mission Hills

Mission Hills has released the information that more than 30 kilometers of hiking trails have been opened. Their purpose is to promote cultural and Eco Gallery education in their top three Chinese resorts, Mission Hills Haikou, Mission Hills Dongguan and Mission Hills Shenzen.

The main objective is to educate tourist on cultural heritage in the context of sustainable tourism. This might sound like an affirmation without substance but it is definitely not the case. There will be special packages and promotions enabled for a great impact on the educational tourism market.

Mission Hills looks at sustainable tourism from a point of view of environment-friendly, cultural nurturing services who add the deserved attention and finances for the local communities.

The trails set up as well as the eco galleries burst with educational displays on biodiversity, ecology, climate change and conservation together with an awareness campaign on how to travel responsibly.

Mission Hills also owns China’s best golf operations and are keen on working with the Golf Environment Organization in order to implement solutions for making golf as environment friendly as possible.

“Twenty years ago my father was a pioneer who brought golf to China.

“My goal is to bring sustainable tourism practices to China on a new and larger scale to raise awareness among travellers and the public about the importance of protecting our planet.

“At Mission Hills we are deeply committed to sustainable development,” - Ken Chu, chairman, Mission Hills Group.

A first step in Mission Hills affirmation as an environment friendly militant is the banning of shark fins from being served inside any of their resorts.

“When I was a child, the Chinese government launched a successful campaign to educate citizens about the importance to protect the Giant Panda.

“We need to create a national campaign to save endangered African rhinos and elephants by calling for a ban on the sale of ivory and rhino horn,” said Yao Ming at the Global Travel & Tourism Summit in Hainan last month, where Chu also spoke about Mission Hills’ efforts to support biodiversity conservation and sustainable tourism.

“We share Yao Ming’s commitment to protect African elephants from extinction, and we are especially proud of our efforts to educate Chinese travellers that only elephants should wear ivory,” Ken Chy, Chairman, Mission Hills Group. Mission Hills hiking
