Update in the Malaysia Airlines MH17 crash in Ukraine

Data recorders from Malaysia Airlines MH17 are now being examined by the UK investigating team.

The air disaster has led to the death of 298 people on board of the aircraft, allegedly stuck down by a missile while it was passing through Ukrainian airspace.

This flight was set to land in Kuala Lumpur, traveling from Amsterdam, Holland. Most of the people killed in the crash were Dutch nationals.

Air Accidents Investigation Branch in Farnborough is responsible with retrieving data from the two recorders, the one week delay in this rather urgent action is connected to the negotiations conducted between Malaysian officials and pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine.

Head of the investigation, the Dutch Safety Board, has already confirmed that cockpit voice data is valid.

One of the boxes contains all sound related to the crash while the other has recorded all the performance parameters of the aircraft.

It is more than likely that a report based on the data will be generated in the following two days.

As soon as this stage will be completed, the report will be filled to Dutch authorities.

To this point, no cause for the crash has been confirmed. However, intelligence suggests that the aircraft has been shot down with a SA-11 BUK missile launcher.

The horrific process of identifying the victims continues as 200 of the 298 have been confirmed so far in the Malaysian Airlines MH17 disaster. Malaysia Airlines MH17
