Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 - Weather against the search

Tourist Bureau
Bad news for the search venture involving the MH370 Malaysia Airlines flight as tropical Cyclone Jack is interacting with the search for the wreckage in the southern Indian Ocean.

The ten military planes which had been enabled for the surface search have been called off due to the bad weatherMalaysia Airlines.

Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 was traveling to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur when it suddenly disappeared on March 9, carrying 239 people on board. Future investigation has shown that the plane had flown for approximately 5 hours before disappearing without a trace.

While all theories point towards a crash in the Indian Ocean, no proof of the plane has been yet found.

“Planned air search activities have been suspended for today due to poor weather conditions in the search area as a result of Tropical Cyclone Jack,” the Joint Agency Coordination Centre

“It has been determined that the current weather conditions are resulting in heavy seas and poor visibility, and would make any air search activities ineffective and potentially hazardous.”

This has occurred during the submarine search operation which has been undergoing this month. Signals have been detected and further investigation has been conducted since. However, the bad weather will be taking its toll as the Bluefin-21 mission will be temporarily suspended.

The machinery operates by generating an underwater sonar mapping of the sea floor. So far, close to 80% of the area of interest has been scoped with no solid results.

This mystery of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 deepens as the chances of finding the wreckage seem to dim with each passing day. It also seems that the time expectancy for results has also been altered as officials start discussing months and weeks rather than hours and days.
