Airline News
Lufthansa has introduced its flagship aircraft, the Airbus A380, on the Los Angeles route.
Aboard Lufthansa's A380, one of the most technologically advanced and largest passenger aircraft, passengers will experience the airlines' latest interior designs in all travel classes and the newest cabin products.
Flight LH456 takes off from Frankfurt at 10:05 and touches down at 12:40 at the Los Angeles International Airport.
The return flight, LH457, departs from Los Angeles at 15:10 and lands in Frankfurt at 11:10 the next day.
Vice president of the Americas at Lufthansa German Airlines, Juergen Siebenrock, said: "Lufthansa will considerably improve the passengers' travel experience this year."
"Before the third quarter, all of our long-haul aircraft will be upgraded to incorporate state-of-the-art seats and the latest cabins in all travel classes.
"We are thrilled to introduce LAX as one of the destinations where Lufthansa is already offering its excellent services and newest products to its customers."
The Airbus A380 is one of the most fuel-efficient aircraft, reducing fuel consumption by 12 per cent when compared to other wide-body jets. It is also 30 per cent more quiet than the present generation of wide body aircraft.
Lost Angeles is now Lufthansa's fifth A380 destination in the US and the eleventh international one.
The airline also uses its flagship aircraft on routes to Miami, San Francisco, Houston and New York City. The A380 contains 509 seats and also the airline's new First Class product.
