Kievits Kroon Country Estate, just outside Pretoria, has been nominated one of Africa's Leading Meetings & Conference Hotels by the 2012 World Travel Awards. The estate is one of 13 nominees in Africa, seven of which are in South Africa. The others are:

The World Travel Awards was launched in 1993 to acknowledge and recognise excellence in the world's travel and tourism industry. Now celebrating its 19th anniversary, the awards are regarded as the one of the highest accolades that a hospitality brand could receive.
More than 5,000 organisations from 162 countries are competing in the awards and there are over 900 categories covering all aspects of the travel industry, from airlines and cruise ships to ski resorts and new luxury hotels.
The regional winner in each category is the nominee who receives the highest number of votes, which are cast by both the travel trade and the public. Online voting is open at www.worldtravelawards.com/vote. Votes for the regional “Africa” nominees close on 7 September 2012.The winner will be announced at a gala event on 26 September in Kenya.
