Kazakhstan confirms that for the following period the visa regime will see a more indulging approach. Among the citizenships who will benefit from this due to the EXPO 2017 there will be British, American, German and French.
The announcement has been formally made public by Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Kazakh president while speaking at the Foreign Investors’ Council.
This visa procedure will take effect as of July 15th 2014, until July 15th 2015. People from UAE, Italy, Netherland, Malaysia, Japan and the Republic of Korea will also benefit from this decision.
The choice for states and nationalities has been made based on the investment potential and strategic partnerships.
All along the aforementioned one year period, people from these 10 countries who pass the diplomatic document filters are welcomed to travel to or through Kazakhstan.
However, if you are planning on staying more than 15 days you have to apply for a business visa or an investor visa in order to validate their intentions.
Another good news is that this one year period could be extended.
“This is a special step by our country that aims to facilitate cooperation with other countries attract investment and create favourable conditions for international travel on the eve of the international specialised exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana,” - Rapil Zhoshybayev, first deputy minister of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan, however, continues its negotiations world-wide for a less tense visa regime when it comes to its citizens.
