Jetblue Enhances Caribbean Services

Airline News
JetBlue Airways will offer its Mint experience from New York's JFK International to Aruba and Barbados, two of its most popular Caribbean routes. The new seasonal service is available for booking on jetblue.com and will begin in November.

Since introducing transcontinental routes last June, Mint has established itself through its private suites, 15-inch flat screen televisions, the widest seat and longest fully-flat bed in the U.S. domestic market, free entertainment, custom amenity kits and tapas-style dining.

With Mint, JetBlue will become the only U.S. carrier to operate regularly scheduled flights with lie-flat seating to the Caribbean.

Marty St George, executive vice president commercial and planning, JetBlue, said: "Ever since Mint's launch, passengers have been wondering what our next step will be. We rethought transcontinental flying and we believe demand for this superior product will be just as strong for these destinations in the Caribbean."

JetBlue's Mint experience to the islands will include a Caribbean flavor to some customer favorites, comprising of customized amenity kits from Birchbox, the tapas-style menu curated by New York City restaurant Saxon+Parole, a sweet treat from Mah-ze-Dahr Bakery and organic desserts by Blue Marble Ice Cream

Petra Roach, U.S. director, Barbados Tourism Marketing, declared: "With over 3,000 hours of sunshine per year, Barbados can easily be considered one of the best vacation destinations in the Caribbean. JetBlue's introduction of Mint means that the premium vacation experience begins when passengers step aboard the plane. We couldn't be happier."
