The agreement signed by Hilton Worldwide is the first step towards the rebranding of a 389-key hotel located in the MunichAirport.

One of the main advantages presented by this location is the direct link towards the main terminal building, being considered the acquisition reason by some.

As of newly agreed terms, Hilton will be the official manager of this hotel, on behalf of Allresto Flughafen Munchen Hotel and Gastsatten, as of the first month of 2015. Until this term, the hotel will still be operating under the name of Kempinski Munich Airport Hotel.

Further renovations are expected along with the new management, therefore, as of 2017, the hotel will have extra 160 rooms added to it. Along with these changes, the location will be known as HiltonMunichAirport and it will feature business spaces alongside a spa arena and a food and beverage service.

“Munich is one of Europe’s busiest airports, with almost 40 million passengers using the airport each year. Hilton pioneered the airport hotel concept, opening the San Francisco Airport Hilton in 1963, and today, we are proud to carry on Conrad Hilton’s legacy by opening airport hotels that not only serve business travellers with outstanding business and meeting facilities, but also leisure guests with elevated design and sophisticated amenities.

We look forward to welcoming Hilton Munich Airport as one of more than 50 airport properties now operating worldwide and the 13th Hilton brand hotel in Germany,” - Rob Palleschi, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts

The location currently features two five storey wings with 389 rooms among which there are 43 suites.

This project is expected to receive positive feedback from customers as it wishes to bring an entire chain of high class services as close to the airport as possible. This translates to: a swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, fitness space, as much as seven treatment rooms and a pool bar.

The HiltonMunichAirport will become part of the Hilton portfolio along with 20 other EuropeanAirport hotels. Hilton-Munich-Airport
