Harmony of Seas joins Royal Caribbean fleet

Royal Caribbean International has welcomed its biggest ship with ceremony in Saint Nazaire, France


Harmony of Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world is now the work place of more than 2.100 crew members. With total building costs exceeding $1billion, Harmony of the Seas is the 25th ship in the company's fleet.


During inaugural festivities in Saint Nazaire, France, Richard Fain, CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises, has declared: “Harmony of the Seas is the product of our zealous spirit of continuous improvement, where we have combined revolutionary ship design with the technological strides that have defined the Royal Caribbean brand.”


The cruise ship's inaugural homeport will be set in Barcelona, Spain. The first trip across Europe will start on June 7th and will last for 34 days, giving passengers the perfect opportunity to explore the best locations on the continent. In November 2016, Harmony will arrive in Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, FL., where it will offer one week of sailing in the Caribbeans.


The newest member of the Royal Caribbean International fleet is the world’s largest cruise ship considered to be an architectural innovation combining neighbourhood and modern design concepts and facilities.
