Adding frequencies on the Jakarta - Amsterdam route is in line with the airline's plans to respond to the increasing market demands, and to establish its presence internationally, especially in the European region.

To add more services between Jakarta and Amsterdam, Garuda Indonesia adjusted its Jakarta - Amsterdam - London Gatwick flight by changing it to Jakarta - Singapore - Amsterdam - Jakarta flights three times weekly. With this move, Garuda Indonesia offers three weekly flights on both the Jakarta - Amsterdam - London Gatwick and Jakarta - Singapore - Amsterdam - Jakarta services.

Garuda Indonesia hopes with this addition to improve seat load factor and cargo volume taking into consideration that Changi International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world, registering an average of 50 million passengers per year.

Director commercial of Garuda Indonesia, Handayani explained: "Adding more frequencies gives our customers a wider choice of flight schedules and ultimately improves travel convenience.

"Besides serving Jakarta to London via Amsterdam three times weekly, Garuda Indonesia also offers three weekly flights from Jakarta - Singapore - Amsterdam โ€“ Jakarta.

"Along with Amsterdam, London is also a very important destination in Garuda Indonesia's European network since it is the busiest European city.

"In line with the airline's route revamping in Europe, Garuda Indonesia is also working on codeshare agreements with several airline partners to complement its three times a week services on the Amsterdam - London service.

"We will continue to improve our London service in the future to respond to increasing market demands," added Handayani.

On this route, Garuda operates a Boeing 777-300 ER with a capacity of 314 passengers in three flight classes; First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class
