Starting 1st of June, tourists visiting the France capital can enjoy the first floating hotel, the perfect place for those in search of a different hospitality experience.

Although there are numerous bars and restaurants on the Seine River in Paris and several cruise ships with sleeping cabins, there was nothing that really could be considered to be a "floating hotel" until the launch of the OFF Hotel.

The hotel is located near the Charles de Gaulle Bridge, a 10-minute walk from Notre Dame. The hotel is not a boat flowing on the Seine, but a special construction in the form of an oversized catamaran, made in Normandy with an investment of 11 million euros, according to The Local.

Also, the OFF Hotel is situated on a purpose-built barge docked on the River Seine at the foot of the Gare d’Austerlitz. It has 54 rooms, four suites, a bar with cocktails and tapas, an interior path, a plunge pool and a marina. Located between the Left and Right banks, it offers stunning views across the river, and forms part of Paris’s riverside development scheme, which combines modernity and history.

Paris aims to also develop its tourism along the Seine, and this is the reason why for years, in July and August, there are designed special sandy beaches and palm trees along the riverfront on a 3.5 km distance. In addition, the mayor of Paris has promised that will enable Parisians to swim in the Seine starting 2024 after the Olympics.
