Carnival orders five new ships at Fincantieri
Carnival Corporation has contracted Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri to build five more cruise ships until 2020
After building, the five new ships will be shared between Carnival Corporation subsidiaries, as follows: Costa Asia, Princess Cruises and P&O Cruises Australia. Deliveries are expected in 2019 and 2020. The ships will be built at Fincantieri’s shipyards in Monfalcone and Marghera, Italy.
The contracts were signed during an official ceremony at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera, Italy.
The meeting was attended by the Italian minister of infrastructure and transport Graziano Delrio, Carnival Corporation chairman Micky Arison, Carnival Corporation chief executive Arnold Donald, and Fincantieri chief executive Giuseppe Bono.

Including the new Fincantieri order, Carnival Corporation owns a total of 16 new ships scheduled for delivery until 2020.
