Azamara Club Cruises Launches New 360-Degree Virtual Reality Experiences

Azamara Club Cruises has introduced a new app that enables the user to have a series of 360-degree virtual reality experiences.

Azamara 3di is the name of the video series and it uses VR technology to provide guests a virtual cruise experience.

From touring the on-board offerings of an Azamara ship, taking a moonlit carriage ride in Cartagena, Colombia, zip lining through a Costa Rican rainforest, or sailing through the Panama Canal, the new App was purposely created to offer guests a true flavour of what the line has to offer.

Renowned for its immersive experiences, offering more overnights and night touring on all voyages and ensuring guests have longer stays in port, Azamara created the 360-degree virtual reality experience so that guests can get as close to "being there
as possible.

Larry Pimentel, president, Azamara Club Cruises, said: "We didn't want to launch an App just to have one. When perfecting our first App, offering a unique journey was not negotiable."
"As we continue to redesign the luxury cruise experience for the next generation, we need to reach them in significant ways and provide information to them where they are looking for it. Having an App is important, but the content it provides is more important."

At the moment, the App is available for iPads, iPhones and iPods.
For now, the App is available on iPhones, iPads and iPods that run iOS 6.0 or above.
