At least three people died and about a hundred were injured, many of them seriously, in a train accident that occurred Thursday morning in Hoboken, New Jersey, near New York, inform the authorities cited by AFP.

A commuter train, full at that time of the day did not stop at the entrance of the train station in Hoboken, a town right outside Manhattan, the other side of the Hudson River. Many injured in train accident are 'in serious condition" declared the authority spokeswoman from New Jersey, Jennifer Nelson, for the Fox News station. So far there has not been advanced an official review of the accident shortly before 09:00 local time (13.00 GMT) and involving a train of the New Jersey Transit company.

The train accident that happened on Thursday morning on the Hoboken station, New Jersey, left more than 100 wounded, informs ABC and CNN, received by AFP. The cause of the accident is still unknown. It appeared the train went through a bumper stop at the end of the track. It came to a stop in a covered area between the station's indoor waiting area and the platform. From above, chopper footage showed the glass arches atop the building crunched like an accordion over the platform.

The transport authority of New Jersey announced that the rail service is suspended to and from the train station in Hoboken and specifies that passengers will be picked up by buses and other transport operators. Images posted on social media show the impact on the platform as a section of the roof was collapsed. Hoboken Train Station serves about 50,000 daily commuters, according to US media.
