Airberlin Doubles Flights to Bucharest

Starting with March 30th next year, airberlin will be doubling its flights from Berlin to Bucharest. The German airline will then have a total of two daily non-stop services to Bucharest, offering 13 new connecting destinations to and from the Romanian capital.


Mohammed Nasr, Eastern Europe Area Manager at airberlin said: "Eastern Europe is a growing market and an important one for airberlin. This extra daily flight allows us to offer more choices to customers travelling to and from Bucharest."

"Thirteen new connections will be available including Venice, Palma de Mallorca, Madrid, Gdansk and Chicago. These supplementary services will also give us the change to offer business travellers more flexibility when planning their schedules," he added.

The new addition, flight AB8272, will take off from Berlin on 30 March 2015 at 21:35 and arrive in Bucharest at 00:40. The existing flight, AB8270, will continue to exist, taking off from Berlin at 9:45 and touching down in Bucharest at 12:50.

From the Romanian capital, the new flight AB8273 will depart at 6:30 and arrive in Berlin at 7:35. Flight AB8271 arrives in Berlin at 14:15 after taking off from Bucharest at 13:10.

Starting with 30 March 2015, the new non-stop connections will be: Sylt, Gdansk, Kaliningrad, Venice, Olbia, Alicante, Palma, Malaga, Madrid, Ibiza, Tenerife South Airport and Fuerteventura.
