Air France and KLM Unveil New Air&Rail Terminal at Brussels-Midi/Zuid

Airlines & Airports

Air France and KLM enhance their integrated Air&Rail service with a new terminal at Brussels-Midi/Zuid, offering seamless train and air travel connections and a host of benefits for passengers.

Air France and KLM have taken a significant step forward in travel convenience and sustainability by inaugurating a new Air&Rail Terminal at Brussels-Midi/Zuid train station. For over two decades, the airlines have provided a seamless service that combines train and air travel within a single booking. This integrated service, known as the Air&Rail offer, ensures passengers have a guaranteed seat on the next available flight or train if their initial travel plan faces delays. Dedicated teams are available at the station to assist customers throughout their journey.

Flying Blue members, the loyalty program of Air France and KLM, can enjoy a plethora of benefits associated with their status. These include the accumulation of Miles, priority access at check-in counters via SkyPriority, access to the Eurostar Lounge at Brussels-Midi/Zuid, additional baggage allowance, and complimentary access to seat options on their flight. Additionally, Air France customers making connections in Paris-Charles de Gaulle have the advantage of through-checking their baggage from Brussels-Midi/Zuid straight to their final destination. KLM passengers, on the other hand, receive SkyPriority benefits at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, including priority during check-in, boarding, baggage handling, and faster security and immigration processes.

Enhancements have been made since 2022 to streamline the travel process further. KLM customers transferring in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport can now check in online for their entire journey, including Eurostar train travel, starting from 30 hours before departure. This convenience allows for last-minute check-ins up to 30 minutes before the train's departure. Air France customers enjoy 1st class travel aboard TGV INOUI trains, while KLM Business Class passengers experience Premium class on Eurostar.

This summer will see the addition of a seventh daily high-speed connection between Brussels-Midi/Zuid and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, further enhancing connectivity and travel options for passengers.

Tickets for the combined Air&Rail service are available for purchase on the Air France and KLM Belgian websites, at the ticketing desk in Brussels-Midi/Zuid, or through travel agencies. The Air&Rail Terminal operates daily from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm, providing travelers with extended accessibility and support for their integrated train and air travel needs.
