The number of toutists visiting Abu Dhabi this August has sky rocketed, reaching its all time maximum so far, with a 22% increase in comparison to the same period in 2013.

Hotel accommodation is also up by a staggering 24% in comparison to August 2013.

“We are much encouraged by the August results, with hotel occupancy for the month achieving 70 per cent, which is up by 11 per cent on last year,”

“And this has to be judged alongside the fact that we have more hotels to fill this year than last.” - Jasem Al Darmaki, acting director general, TCA Abu Dhabi.

The essence for this growth for Abu Dhabi resides in its boost of capacity with 2,495 additional rooms in 2014.

In financial terms, the revenue for August rose by 19%.

“Summer this year has seen a host of entertainment events in Abu Dhabi which, together with a very affordable room rate of AED352 could well have influenced the uplift,”

“We are already planning for Abu Dhabi Summer Season 2015 with the aim of taking our product much earlier to market.” - Jasem Al Darmaki, acting director general, TCA Abu Dhabi.

For the time interval of 8 months, up to August, the total growth sums up a 27% increase for 2014.

These numbers only show that proper investments corroborated with a strong marketing strategy does deliver results. The predictions for 2015 thus stay strong as the services for Abu Dhabi are getting better each year.Abu Dhabi
