Ministry of Information officials stated that 30.000 job opportunities can be created in Kuwait for the next decade, by increasing tourism sector standards

HORECA Kuwait is one of the biggest annual hospitality events that welcomes products and services of international brands all over the world.

Attending at HORECA Kuwait 2016 event held at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel during 18-20 January, Faisal Al-Mutalaqem, the Ministry of Information's Undersecretary for External Media Affairs and Acting Undersecretary for Tourism, declared that country's officials will focus on creating a new national income source, by raising the tourism industry standards.

In the ministry's opinion, the strategy for achieving the goal is a huge responsibility that should focus on continuously promoting the country as a touristic destination.

Projects development, opening of new job opportunities in both public and private tourism sectors, organizing of new exhibitions and supporting of young entrepreneurs to open and develop new businesses should all be priorities for Kuwait for the years to come, in the ministry's vision.

The annual investment for the goal is estimated at over KD 700 million. Considering the latest drop of oil prices, the tourism sector in Kuwait is expected to play a major pivotal role in the country's economy.
