28.000 visitors have attended ATM 2016

Travel Business

The event hosted by Dubai World Trade Centre in April has welcomed more than 28.000 delegates from around the world

The organisers at Reed Travel Exhibitions have reported a seven per cent year-on-year increase in visitor numbers attending the expo, as well as a nine per cent rise in the number of Buyers’ Club and VIP Club members when compared to the figures registered last year.

“The initial estimated figures for this year’s show highlights ATM’s significance as a leading exhibition for the region’s travel and tourism sector, as an increasing number of destinations ramp-up efforts to drive travel and tourism as part of economic diversification and sustainability. This year’s popular mid-market theme also resonated with the region’s travel professionals – with many exhibitors leveraging opportunities to launch mid-tier brands as well as discussing strategies, developments and future trends during the ATM seminars,” declared Nadege Noblet-Segers, the manager of the Arabian Travel Market 2016 exhibition.

This year, the ATM also featured new spaces and additional events, such as the Wellness & Spa, the Travel Agent Academy and the Bloggers’ Speed Networking session. More than 50 travel and technology seminars were hosted during the event at Dubai World Trade Centre.
